Atmospheric Escape, Meteorites, Volcanism, Weathering Products

The raw materials on the surface (important to the chemistry and makeup of the atmosphere) are derived from two sources: volcanism and weathering from the planetary mantle and crust, and in-fall from meteorites and comets. The Earth also loses material in the form of atmospheric escape and impact erosion.
